The City of Surprise is a fast growing City located on the West side of Maricopa County, AZ. Median sale prices of Singe Family Residences have gone from $149,000 as of March 6, 2013 to $170,000 as of March 6, 2014, a 14% increase.
There was a high inventory of bank owned properties from the housing market crash in 2006 creating a buzz amongst investors. The investor activity has had positive impacts on median market values as many made the needed repairs to the properties and resold them for a profit. Local experts predict the market will stabilize in 2014. We shall see!
